No Time, No Time!!

It's probably quite obvious by now that it's increasingly difficult for me to update regularly while holding this job, but I think it's just because I'm not in the routine and the such... I mean, I'm sure if I set aside a time to do it, I could probably manage to keep it updated, but I don't think it will ever be as greatly updated as it has been in the last month or two, because I alsways used to do that when I was on my sleeping pills and really tired, and I had hours to do it, so now I don't think they'll live up to that standard, and that kind of pisses me off. I haven't been up to that much lately, but enough to justify an entry I suppose.

I'm not even sure where I should start to be honest...My job... I do signups for a free long distance provider, which uses an over-the-internet service (TCP/IP) to connect to callers, thus destroying any long distances charges. So people call in, I say thank you for calling Worldline and Toronto Sun Call sign up line, ask them six questions for a survey, like age, if they read the Sun, what internet service they use, and then I move on to the actual signing up. I get their name, address, postal code and phone number, hit submit, read them the local access number, and say thanks and hang up. Nothing more. So, each call takes roughly one to two minutes to complete, and if the customer asks any questions or wants any information, I simply tell them that we're strictly a sign up line and have no information, and then I read them off a customer support and information line. I get about two calls per hour, so that's only about 4 minutes per hour that I'm working, the rest of the time I'm left to find things to do on my own. We're allowed to browse the internet as much as we want, so long as we don't go to porn or stileproject or something, we're not allowed to chat on MSN, but we do have a private IRC server running, in which all the employees chat on and stuff, which can be amusing at times, and then at other times, it can be completely dead, with no one saying a single word for hours. What this all means, is that I read a message board for about ten minutes, and then I'm bored out of my skull, and rely on people emailing me to keep me sane. So far I only really get email from Emily, occasionally from my Mom, and one night I had an email conversation with Jess, but come on people!! Email me at work! The address is simple and easy to remember: [email protected]. Just email me! Talk to me as if it was just an MSN conversation, and I'll reply, almost instantly, because I have nothing else to do! I spend a few minutes each shift working on some website stuff (seeeecret stuff) but that doesn't seem to last all that long, and I end up being bored. I also have to bring my own lunch and everything, since I work eight hour shifts every other day. This results in me being horrendously hungry and really, really wanting my lunch, and then the hunger passing, and then when I do get my lunch, I'm not even that hungry anymore. So basically that's my work.. I either work four hour shifts, or eight hour shifts, which alternate each day, so yup... email me there sometime please, I'll get back to you almost before you actually hit the send button.

im going to punch you right in the ovary.
right in the baby maker.
Another thing worth mentioining is my viewing of the sacarad and hilarious movie Anchorman, starring Will Ferrel and featuring a giant list of guest stars and cameo appearances (Jack Black, Luke Wilson, Ben Stiller... to name a few). This movie is genious. Will Ferrel plays his best role yet as a stuck up, glaringly stupid lead anchorman, who can't deal with the upcoming womens rights movements,
and is completely clueless to everything else going on in the world, like not throwing buritos at bikers. This movie has so many parts that you'll be repeating after you see it and laughing at with friends, that I wouldn't even be able to start listing them. I recommend you go and see this movie ASAP if you haven't already, and if you have, arrange to go see it again, because I've seen it twice, and I laughed harder the second time because I knew it was coming and couldn't stop myself from laughing at everything I knew was coming. My favorite part has to be the part with Jack Black, and what happens after, in the phone booth! hehehe.. go see this movie people, you're seriously missing out if you haven't yet. They've actually released a small clip of the movie, just a few small scenes that will give you a flavour of the kind of comedy that's present in the film, so you can download that and give it a view if you feel up to it. It's viewable in Quicktime, but right click and save target as, and save it to your hard drive, because that's better than a streaming video. Monday night I met Ally for a couple beers at the Rage, which is directly below where I work, which is both funny and awesome. We hung out for awhile, I got a lolly, got hit on by a very drunk, very gay man, and then played lame games on the expensive game machine in the bar, but it was fun. Eventually we walked to Mcdonalds and I got supper because I hadn't eaten anything during the afternoon, so I got a meal, and then waited for the bus, and eventualyl Ally decided to go back in and then I caught the bus home, to find Teresa, Mchelle and Jenny were waiting for me to get home, so they could come over, but they never ever emailed me to tell me that we were going to do something so I didn't know!! So at least they weren't mad at me for it, because I had no way of knowing. So they came over, and Teresa brought a couple more beers for me, which she ended up drinking one and a half of, so I only had about half a beer hehe, but that's alright, since I had to work the next day anyway. We just sorta hung out for awhile and when I got really tired, they just took off and to bed I went.

I think that more or less leaves us up to date... I mean yeah, a few things were left out (redying my hair, value village, emily being in toronto for a few days) but you get the main picture. Tonight I work, and then I'm probably going to Michelles for the night, if I can find my way there, if not, I'm just gonna go home and sleep. Later all!

The Concept of I'm With Busey, by: Jess!
The concept of the show, is for Gary Busey, to teach Adam de la Pena about life. Adam travels around with Gary, to learn his philosophy on life. Gary takes Adam places to teach him. Fear, mystery, protection, school, love, just about any aspect of life.
