Yeah, I'm in a working mode, but a much better one than when I was at stream or teletech. I never get nervous about going to work, and I don't mind it at all. I'm in charge of a lot of stuff, so I feel kinda important, like I have a purpose. If I didn't go into work, the whole place would fall apart.
I'm in charge of orders.. I make sure Chef knows when we're out of stuff, and when orders come in (both Sysco and GFS, and produce) I have to make sure all the stuff is there and accounted for, then I have to put it all away and stuff.
I'm in charge of planning, making menus and cooking all staff meals, including breakfast at 10am and lunch at 2pm.
I represent the kitchen at the daily staff meetings (all departments meet and talk about the day).
I'm in charge of ensuring that dry storage in the basement is kept completely clean and organized, same with the produce fridge, fridge and freezer.
I've also got to break down the boxes, sweep and empty the garbages.
So, doing all that, in one day, doesn't leave me with much time to do.. the dishes. Andrew understands how hard I work, and how I go above and beyond to make things easier for everyone, and he's told me I get a nice raise but I don't get it until my 3 months probation is up (which is soon).
He's also teaching me to cook (both through the staff meal stuff, but I'm pretty much on my own with that, since I'm usually alone) and through prepping for lunch or dinner buffets.
I'm pretty tired when I get home from work, but I usually manage to play an hour or so of World of Warcraft, and watch a bit of TV or whatever. Then on weekends I get groceries and then play WoW all day. I don't play 2Moons anymore, after playing WoW, it's a pretty shallow, empty game. I'd tell you to just get WoW to play with me and Michelle, but it would really depend on how often you expect to just be alone and want to play on your laptop, from what I understand you're pretty social and enjoy being outside haha (does not compute).
Heroes is awesome, 30 Rock is really funny and Jerry Seinfeld is guest starring, and House is great.
I probably have more to talk about but I'm getting tired. I have a headache, so I took a couple tylenol 1's and they're helping.
